You’d think the mother of an 18 month old would be well trained in the art of a 5am call time. However, waking up at 5am with my eyes still half closed, hair that resembles a birds nest and only having a vague idea of who I am, where I’m supposed to be and what I’m meant to be doing is quite different from having to wake up at 5am with a spring in my step and glowing skin, ready to grace the pages of a fashion magazine….
There she goes, doing it again. Stealing my thunder, stealing my limelight…….stealing my heart. I know every mother is bias but damn! Miss V seriously worked the camera for this one. It’s funny to think that all of this is just everyday to her. With 4 shoots to her name and numerous visits to mummy and daddy on set the world of modelling and photography is just………..normal. So while she and I modelled, of course dad couldn’t help but get stuck in too…..
I knew this day would come.
I knew I was ready.
I knew I wasn't.
I knew I would miss her.
I knew I wouldn't.
I knew I was excited.
I knew I was terrified.
One thing I knew for sure, if I didn't try, I would never know.
When two of your friends start up their own brand of scarves there’s not much you wouldn’t do to support them. That includes modelling for their launch campaign wearing the silk scarves……….wearing only the silk scarves. It felt like the modern day Jack and Rose as he sketched her wearing only a necklace. Thankfully no one drowned at the end of this version though.
“I can’t waaaaait for the weekend to begin.” Does anyone remember that song? I feel like it’s the perfect theme tune to my shoot for Jockey’s newest campaign aptly named The Weekender. And with a lovely long weekend just put behind us in the shape of Easter, it seems fitting to post this shoot to remind us of the good times we had rolling around in our pyjamas until midday (at least that’s what I was doing at Easter). Read on to find out who I shared my bed with. I’ll give you a clue, they both found love as millions of people watched on….

When you make the commitment to marry someone sometimes you need to make sacrifices, do things that you don't necessarily enjoy and put the happiness of your partner first. Like having your photo taken to be published multiple times in a magazine with over 55,000 readers. He must really love me.
No one likes a gatecrasher, they don't have the best of reputations. I'll admit I may have gatecrashed a few parties in my youth (can't say they were my proudest moments) but gatecrashing a party is one thing, try gatecrashing a fellow models photoshoot. Lucky for me the model in question was the divine Samantha Harris who was more than happy to share the stage with me. After all, sharing is caring and caring is cool.
As models we are continuously waiting for those "YES!!" jobs. The jobs we keep all our fingers and toes crossed for. The jobs that keep us constantly checking our phones for THAT agency call. The jobs that make all our hard work and effort was worth it. Well on February 18th 2016 I got my first "YES!!" job of the year. Shooting the new Debenhams lingerie campaign beside five other stunningly gorgeous women. All carefully selected to show off our curves, wiggle our bottoms, bounce our breasts and flash a wink at the camera to help promote (and celebrate) Debenhams new Bra Fit campaign.
Don't you just love those days when you get to laze around in bed, throw on a pair of fresh, clean PJs, prance around your bedroom listening to your favourite, cheesy tracks, order sushi for lunch because you can't be bothered to cook and then treat yourself to a little something naughty(ish) at the end of the day? Sounds like the perfect Sunday right? Wrong. What if I told you I got to do all of this on a weekday guilt free? Welcome to a day on set with bras N things
In this post I'm going to give you a behind the scenes peak into my favourite type of photoshoot.
We all have parts of our job that aren't so great. For me it's modelling swimwear in sub 10 degree temperatures, the 4am call time to catch that sunrise shot or having 6 hair and make up changes in one day that you come away looking like the pimply faced, frizzy hair teenager of your nightmares. Then there are the days that are just down right amazing and this was one of those days. Modelling in one of the worlds fashion capitals with a team of enthusiastic, like-minded creatives who just so happen to be your good friends and coming away with photographic evidence that this fantastic day did in fact happen.
